Dinesh Kumar Prabhakar is a renowned Violinist, Vocalist, Composer and Director in Indian Classical Music. He has been the brain behind many a renowned piece of Indian music in the classical, national and religious genres. He has also composed and conducted pop music.
Mr. Dinesh Kumar Prabhakar was born on 3rd June, 1950 into a family of great musicians. He began training in music at the tender age of 8, from his father, Late Pandit Husan Lal, a renowned Violinist, Vocalist and Music Director in the Indian Film Industry.
Mr. Prabhakar received a scholarship from the Government of India for advance training in music and completed his training under the illustrious Guru Late Pandit Dilip Chandra Vedi Ji.
Currently, Mr. Prabhakar gives performances of Indian classical music and devotional music. He also composes for music albums, documentaries and provides music for jingles, and advertisements. He works with recording studios and also with personal and private music labels.
Mr. Prabhakar is the recipient of several National and International Awards. One of the first highlights of his career was when he received the prestigious All India Radio Award for the Best Violinist in India, at the age of 18. He has composed and directed music for more than four hundred (400) Documentaries, News Magazines and Animation films.
