Mr. Dinesh Kumar Prabhakar, has created his long lasting legacy through compositions, performances and vocals in the field of music. Some of the key highlights of his illustrious career are:
- ‘Grade A’ Violinist, and Vocalist (LM)
- ‘Grade 1′ Music Composer (LM)
- Attached with AIR (All India Radio) Delhi Vadya Vrinda from 1975 to 1991 as a Violinist
- Worked as Director of Music, at the Films Division, for 20 years (1991-2010)
- Recipient of several National and International Awards
- He has Composed and Directed music for more than three hundred & fifty (350) Documentaries, News Magazines and Animation films
- Composed songs with all the topmost playback singers, including Asha Bhosle, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Anuradha Paudwal, Bhupinder Singh, Sadhna Sargam, Sudesh Bhosle, Sonu Nigam, Anup Jalota, A. Hariharan, etc. for Documentaries and Featurettes, for the Films Division of India
- Represented the Films Division, and received the prestigious National Award for the film The Assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, (2010) for which the Music was scored by him
- The Musician’s Guild released his Violin Audio CD containing Raag Yaman and Miyaan Ki Malhar
