More than 50 years of work in the field of music, through composition, performance and vocals, has created a long lasting legacy. Some of the key highlights of his illustrious career are framed below.
- He was attached with A.I.R. Delhi ‘Vadya Vrinda’ from 1975 to 1991 as a Violinist.
- He has also provided music for a very popular serial ‘Doosra-Kewal’.
- The version recording of ‘Shehansha’ and “Lata Volume 8′ was also performed by him under the banner of Super Cassettes (now T-Series).
- His song “We Are Nations Of Commonwealth” sung by Shri A. Hariharan was adjudged second in Asian Region by theCommonwealth Foundation U.K in 1993
- Almost all of the Sanskrit verses of the serial ‘Meghdootam’ were sung by him.
- He has also performed the Noorie Pukar Sindhi Bhajans written by Dada T.L. Vaswani.
- He worked as Director of Music at Films Division from 1991 to 2010
- He has composed and directed music for more than Three Hundred (300) Documentaries, News Magazines and Animation films.
- He has composed songs with all the topmost playback singers including Asha Bhosle, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Bhupinder Singh, Sadhna Sargam, Sudesh Bhosle, Sonu Nigam, Anup Jalota, A. Hariharan etc forDocumentaries & Featurettes of Films Division Of India.
- He has composed music for an Orriya Ballet ‘Pranay Ballari’ that was highly acclaimed by both audiences and the media elite.
- Violin Audio CD containing ‘Raag Yaman’ and ‘Miyaan Ki Malhar’ released by “The Musician´s Guild” .
- He has directed ‘Shat-Shat Pranaam’ – a film on the Independence war movement of India; ‘Ustad Bismillah Khan’ a film on the renowned ‘Shehnai‘ Exponent and Bharat Ratna Awardee. In addition he has also directed 9 films on communal harmony andnational integration in different Indian languages.
- ‘Naushad – A Musical Journey’ a film directed by Dinesh Kumar Prabhakar was screened at the Homage Section Of I.F.F.I 2006 at Goa and M.I.F.F 2010 in Mumbai. The film was highly acclaimed by both the audience and the media elite.
- ‘The Eye Of Friendship’ (showing the glimpses of M.I.F.F between the years 1990 to 2008) was screened at 11th edition of the Mumbai International Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films.
- Recently he has directed the film ‘Moments With Maestros’ that showcased films made on great maestros of music and his interaction with them. The film was subsequently screened during the inaugural ceremony of the ‘Dancing Feets’ held at I.F.F.I 2010 in Goa.
- He has composed and conducted orchestral compositions with Indo-Rusians musicians.
- He has composed an orchestral composition “Tribhava” played at the inauguration of National Channel for All India Radio.
